Calloway County Man Faces Felony DUI Charge After Traffic Stop

(MURRAY, Ky.) — A 70-year-old Murray man was arrested Sunday night after deputies observed him driving erratically on Outland School Road, authorities said.

Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop at approximately 9:00 p.m. on March 8, 2026, after witnessing the vehicle being operated in an erratic manner. The driver, identified as Brent M. Allen, 70, of Murray, was suspected of operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

A records check revealed Allen had been convicted of driving under the influence on four separate occasions within the past 10 years, with his most recent conviction in 2021. Due to his prior offenses, Allen faces a Class D felony charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol (4th or greater offense), along with a traffic violation.

Allen was taken into custody and lodged at the Calloway County Detention Center.
