(DRAFFENVILLE, Ky.)-Families in Marshall County can now register children for the 2026-2027 Preschool, Head Start, and Early Head Start programs, officials announced.

Children applying for preschool must be Marshall County residents and turn 3 or 4 years old on or before August 1, 2026. Eligibility is determined by federal income guidelines or a documented disability, regardless of income level.

Developmental screenings through the Marshall County Child Find program are available to any county resident with concerns about a child’s development, as well as to all families enrolling in the preschool or Head Start program. Screenings will be held by appointment only on April 17, 2026, at the Marshall County Library. Appointments can be scheduled by calling (270) 527-6757.

The Early Head Start program offers a home-based option for pregnant mothers and children up to age 3, providing developmental education and family support services. Families must meet income guidelines to qualify.

Parents interested in enrolling can apply online at https://forms.gle/XbAzY4XxoyiKJh4G8. Once the online application is submitted, office staff will reach out to schedule an in-person appointment to complete the enrollment process and arrange a screening for the child. Families may also contact the Marshall County Preschool Office directly at (270) 527-6757 for more information.
