(DRAFFENVILLE, Ky.) — The Christian Fellowship Eagles girls basketball team saw their season come to an end Monday in the Fourth District Tournament, falling to Calloway County by a final score of 94-12.

The Eagles, who finished the season 9-22, struggled to find consistent offense against the Lakers. CFS shot just 14.3 percent from the field, connecting on 4 of 28 attempts, and went 0-for-9 from beyond the arc.

Sophomore Kylee Hines led the team in scoring with 4 points, pulling down 3 rebounds as well. Junior Kyndal Owen added 3 points on 1-of-7 shooting to go along with 4 rebounds, and fellow junior Bekah Wright chipped in 2 points while leading the team with 3 free throw attempts, converting on 3 of 4. Eighth-grader Trinity Carrigan rounded out the scoring with 2 points on a 1-of-1 effort from the field.

Meleah Grigg led the team on the glass with 5 rebounds, while Owen’s 4 boards were second on the squad. The Eagles pulled down 20 total rebounds as a team.

Despite the result, the Eagles featured a young roster with several seventh and eighth-grade players gaining valuable tournament experience.
