(DRAFFENVILLE, Ky.) – Marshall County High School senior Ryan Stokes has committed to continue his golfing career at John A. Logan College in Carterville, Illinois, capping off an impressive six-year run with the Marshall County golf program.

Stokes has been a force in Western Kentucky golf since his middle school days, earning recognition early for his powerful drives and ability to post low scores. Over time, the senior has added consistency to his natural talent, elevating him to one of Kentucky’s premier golfers by his junior year.

The 2025 season proved to be Stokes’ breakthrough year. He dominated state competition by holding the No. 1 ranking in All-State points for four consecutive weeks – a rare achievement in Kentucky high school golf. His performance included six tournament victories and a career-low round of 5-under-par 67.

“Ryan has always been known for hitting the ball with great distance,” said Marshall County Head Boys Golf Coach, Travis Ross. “As he’s gotten older, he’s developed the consistency that makes him so difficult to beat.”

Over his high school career, Stokes accumulated nine tournament victories, earned first-team All-Region honors five times, and was named to the second-team All-State twice.

John A. Logan College, a community college competing in Region 24 of the NJCAA, will now benefit from Stokes’ experience and talent as he begins his collegiate golf career.
