
(MAYFIELD, Ky.) — The Marshals escaped with a hard-fought 51-47 overtime victory over Mayfield on Tuesday night at the Mayfield Sports Arena/Joe Ford, Jr. Court, limiting the Cardinals to just three points in the extra period.
Ryan Stokes paced the Marshals with a game-high 21 points, while Braxton Burnham added 10 points in the winning effort. Kaden Mohler contributed nine points, Neyland Jezik scored six, and Maddox Konrad chipped in five.
The Marshals played without junior Matthew Langhi, who was sidelined with a nagging injury.
With the victory, Marshall County improved to 17-6 on the season. The Marshals will return to action Friday night when they host Hopkins County Central in Draffenville.
