(BENTON, Ky.) — New Harmony Missionary Baptist Church will open its doors to the community for a special Blessings Giveaway event on February 21, offering free items and meals to families preparing for spring.
The event will take place from 8 a.m. until noon at the church’s Family Life Center, located on Symsonia Highway in Benton. Organizers describe it as similar to a yard sale, with one important difference: everything is completely free.
Community members are invited to browse and take home a variety of items including clothing, shoes, toys, and household goods at no cost.
The day will begin with complimentary donuts, milk, juice, and coffee. Lunch service will start at 11 a.m., with hot dogs, chips, cookies, and drinks bagged and ready for attendees to take.
As an added benefit, participants will have the opportunity to win a Food Giant gift card in a door prize drawing.
Church representatives emphasized that the event is open to anyone in the community who could benefit from the offerings. The giveaway is themed around the biblical verse Philippians 4:19: “My God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ.”
