(BRIENSBURG/CADIZ) —The Christian Fellowship School Eagles basketball team has caught fire, winning three straight games over the past week to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the regular season.

The Eagles’ winning streak began Thursday, with a thrilling 51-49 home victory over Calloway County. The nail-biter came down to the wire, with CFS holding on for the two-point win.

Christian Fellowship (14-7) kept rolling two days later, dominating Foundation Christian Academy 72-51 at home Saturday. The Eagles controlled the game throughout, pulling away for the 21-point victory.

The team completed its three-game sweep last night, with a 56-45 road win over Trigg County, extending the winning streak to three games.

On the girls side, the Lady Eagles (9-13) fell to Calloway County last Thursday 91-11. CFS will look to bounce back when they host Pope County (Ill.) on Thursday evening, with tip-off scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

Both Christian Fellowship teams will travel to Murray High School on Friday night for a 4th District doubleheader beginning with the girls contest at 6 p.m.
