
(PADUCAH, Ky.) — A 45-year-old Lyon County woman faces drug trafficking charges following an undercover operation conducted by multiple law enforcement agencies in McCracken County.
Ashley Wooldridge was arrested Friday evening after allegedly attempting to sell methamphetamine to undercover detectives, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.
The investigation began on January 30th when detectives received a tip that Wooldridge was selling methamphetamine in the area. Authorities contacted her by cellphone, and she reportedly agreed to the transaction, directing them to meet at Trail Loop Drive in Paducah.
Two detectives operating undercover met Wooldridge in an apartment complex parking lot around 5:42 p.m. During a search following her arrest, officers discovered approximately nine grams of suspected methamphetamine on her person, authorities said.
The operation was conducted jointly by the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, Paducah Police Department, and Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.
Wooldridge was charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine, greater than two grams) and booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
