(PADUCAH, Ky.) – A 43-year-old Paducah man faces multiple charges, including drug trafficking, after a routine traffic stop Wednesday afternoon led to the discovery of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Gregory Pannell was arrested around 4:15 p.m. on January 29 after McCracken County Sheriff’s Office deputies pulled him over near the intersection of Blandville Road and Highland Church Road for traffic violations.

During the subsequent investigation, deputies reportedly found Pannell in possession of approximately 29 grams of suspected methamphetamine, multiple items of drug paraphernalia, and a large amount of cash believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales.

Pannell was taken into custody and booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail on four charges: first-degree trafficking in controlled substances (second or greater offense involving more than 2 grams of methamphetamine), no operator’s license, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.

The investigation remains ongoing.
