(WEST PADUCAH, Ky.) — A Kevil woman has died from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle rollover crash that occurred last week in McCracken County.
Tawnya Scott, 26, died Friday, January 16, 2026, five days after the January 12 crash on New Liberty Church Road, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened around 7:30 a.m. in the 6400 block of New Liberty Church Road in West Paducah. Investigators say Scott was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado southbound when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway.
Scott overcorrected, causing the truck to roll over multiple times before coming to rest. She was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.
Emergency responders transported Scott to a local hospital before she was transferred to an out-of-state medical facility for treatment of what authorities described as incapacitating injuries.
The West McCracken Fire Department, Mercy Regional Ambulance, and Vanzant’s Towing assisted at the scene.
The sheriff’s office is asking the community to keep Scott’s family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. The crash remains under investigation.
