Sex Offender Faces Social Media Violations
On January 11, Deputy Bobby Beeler arrested Robert E. Gaines II, 33, following a months-long investigation that began in November 2025. Gaines, a convicted sex offender from Livingston County and lifetime registrant on Kentucky’s Sex Offender Registry, faces two counts of Sex Offender Registrant Social Media Identity Violation.
According to the sheriff’s office, the investigation was launched after complaints were received regarding a registered sex offender allegedly using aliases on social media accounts in violation of Kentucky law. He posted a cash bond and was released from the Crittenden County Detention Center.
