
The Lady Marshals (12-3) dominated their matchup, defeating Graves County 56-38 behind a balanced offensive attack. Senior Addi Wall led the way with 8 points on efficient 4-of-6 shooting, while junior Rylan Darnall posted 12 points and 6 rebounds.
Junior Kenzlee Terry added 15 points. Senior Lauren Noles contributed 8 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the field.
Marshall County’s defense was particularly stingy, holding Graves County to just 38 points while the Lady Marshals shot 40 percent from the field overall.
In the boys’ contest, Marshall County edged Graves County 53-50 in a nail-biter that came down to the final possessions.
Junior Matthew Langhi paced the Marshals with a game-high 26 points, converting 9 of 11 free throw attempts while adding 11 rebounds. Senior Ryan Stokes chipped in 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting and pulled down 5 rebounds.
Senior Neyland Jezik added 6 points, while freshman Braxton Burnham provided a spark with 3 points off the bench.
The Marshals (12-4) shot 37.3 percent from the field and struggled from three-point range, making only 3 of 18 attempts. However, they made up for it at the charity stripe, converting 12 of 15 free throws (80 percent) in the clutch victory.
Both Marshall County teams will play at Christian Fellowship on Tuesday with the girls game at 6 p.m and the boys contest scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
