(LYON COUNTY, Ky.) — The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to numerous incidents over the past week, including an overdose, multiple warrant arrests, a hit-and-run collision, and a single-vehicle crash.

Overdose Response

On January 5 at approximately 3:27 p.m., Deputy Bobby Beeler and other first responders were called to a Parkview Drive residence for a reported overdose. A 46-year-old male was transported to an area hospital for treatment of medical and mental health issues. Deputy Beeler continues to investigate the incident. Lyon County EMS and Eddyville Police Department assisted at the scene.

Warrant Arrests

Later that evening around 5 p.m., deputies arrested Gregory A. Stokes, 43, of Hickman, on a Fayette District Court bench warrant for failing to appear in an assault case. Stokes is awaiting extradition to Fayette County.

On January 6 at 9 a.m., Chief Deputy Sam Adams arrested Shelby King, 30, of Kuttawa, at a residence on KY 93. King was wanted on a Lyon Circuit Court bench warrant for probation violation on a felony offense and was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.

That same evening at 6:30 p.m., Deputy Beeler served a Jessamine District Court bench warrant on Jordan Palmer, 37, of Lancaster, for failure to appear. Palmer awaits extradition to Jessamine County.

Two days later on January 8, deputies arrested Anthony Pemberton, 43, of Georgetown, on a Woodford Circuit Court indictment warrant for second-degree escape. Pemberton awaits extradition to Woodford County.

Hit-and-Run Investigation

On January 6 around 8:14 p.m., Deputy Beeler responded to a hit-and-run collision at a Kuttawa business. The investigation revealed a semi-truck operated by Ngoc Thuc Tran, 29, of Carrollton, Texas, collided with a parked semi and left the scene. After Tran was identified, his commercial truck dispatch notified him to return to the scene, where he was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and failure to render aid or assistance. Tran received a citation to appear in court on January 28.

Single-Vehicle Crash

On January 10 at approximately 3:25 p.m., Deputy Josh Travis responded to a single-vehicle injury collision on KY 93 South. According to the investigation, a 2015 Kia driven by Amber L. Blick, 27, of Princeton, was traveling southbound when the vehicle dropped off the right shoulder. Blick apparently overcorrected, lost control, and crossed to the opposite side of the roadway before traveling down a small embankment and striking a tree. Blick sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was transported by private vehicle to an area hospital.

Mother and Son Arrested

On January 11 around 4:45 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance complaint at a residence on Elkhorn Tavern Road. Upon arrival, a female fled from the rear of the home into a wooded area but was located and detained by Deputy Travis. A male subject was also detained by Deputy Beeler after he was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating substance.

Deputies arrested Mae N. Frazier, 51, of Eddyville, on a failure to appear bench warrant from Fayette District Court, and her son, Tyler R. Frazier, 32, of Eddyville, on two failure to appear bench warrants from Grant District Court. Both were lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center and await extradition to their respective counties.
