(MURRAY, Ky.) — A Calvert City man is facing multiple felony charges following an alleged assault that occurred on Buddy Lane earlier this month.
Troy M. Long, 53, of Calvert City, was arrested on January 8, 2026, and taken to the Calloway County Detention Facility after an investigation into an altercation reported to authorities.
According to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the emergency room at Murray-Calloway County Hospital around noon on January 4 after a female victim reported she had been assaulted the previous day. The victim told deputies that Long was responsible for the attack.
Following an investigation, authorities obtained a warrant for Long’s arrest. He was located and taken into custody four days later.
Long has been charged with first-degree strangulation, second-degree assault — both Class C felonies — as well as fourth-degree assault and two counts of menacing.
