Dan Lee Moore, Jr., 63, of Benton, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at his residence.
Danny was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, on December 30, 1962. He was a hardworking man with a great sense of humor who enjoyed the simpler pleasures in life.
As a self-employed marine mechanic, he spent many years operating Moore’s Boat Repair in Kuttawa, a trade that he passed down to his daughters. When he wasn’t working in his shop, he enjoyed being outdoors, boating, fishing, and hunting. No matter the circumstance, Danny always kept a positive attitude and enjoyed joking with friends and family. For Danny, family was everything. He enjoyed spending time with his family and creating memories they could cherish.
He is survived by his twin daughters, Kristen Moore and Kelsey Moore both of Murray, Kentucky; his mother, Ruth Culver; one sister, Belinda Pullen (Mike) of Amarillo, Texas; one brother, Shawn Culver (Rhonda) of Hardin, Kentucky; one step-sister, Darla Culver Dugger of Murray, Kentucky; one-step brother, Jeff Culver of Murray, Kentucky; five grandchildren, James Lee Dowdy, Kaylee Dowdy, Presley Moore, Paige Cope, and Annabella Moore; several nieces and nephews; and his long time girlfriend, Belinda Penrod.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dan Lee Moore, Sr.; his step-father, Doyle Culver; and one grandson, Jackson Cope.
