(MURRAY, Ky.) — Calloway County’s basketball teams hosted Christian Fellowship School in a Fourth District doubleheader Friday night at Jeffrey Gymnasium, with the home teams sweeping both contests.
The Lady Lakers remained undefeated on the season, improving to 14-0 with a 67-19 victory over the Lady Eagles. Calloway County’s girls controlled the game from start to finish, continuing their perfect campaign through the first half of the season.
In the nightcap, the Lakers outlasted a determined Christian Fellowship boys squad 68-60. The Eagles, who entered the game with a 10-2 record, fought hard but ultimately fell short in the competitive district matchup.
Christian Fellowship’s Lady Eagles (5-8) will look to bounce back tonight when they travel to Pope County, Illinois. Both CFS teams return to district action Tuesday evening, crossing U.S. Highway 68 to face Marshall County at Reed Conder Gymnasium in another Fourth District doubleheader.
