(PADUCAH, Ky.) — Authorities have identified human remains discovered in a wooded area of Paducah earlier this month as those of a 35-year-old woman from Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The remains were found December 4 in a wooded section near the intersection of Tennessee Street and South 13th Street, according to Paducah Police.
Following the discovery, investigators from the Paducah Police Department worked alongside McCracken County Coroner Amanda Melton and the Kentucky Medical Examiner’s office to determine the identity of the deceased.
Officials have ruled out foul play in the woman’s death. Authorities are not releasing her name.
The investigation represents a collaborative effort between multiple agencies working to provide answers in the case.
