
(MURRAY, Ky.) — A search warrant execution on Downing Road led to the arrest of a Murray man on multiple drug trafficking charges on New Year’s Eve.
Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies and detectives conducted the search on December 31, 2025, uncovering a substantial cache of illegal narcotics and weapons at the residence.
Authorities seized more than 10 grams of methamphetamine, 15 grams of cocaine, and over three pounds of marijuana during the operation. Three firearms were also recovered, along with assorted drug paraphernalia and an undisclosed amount of currency believed to be proceeds from illegal narcotics sales.
Kelly B. Reed, 39, of Murray, was present at the scene and was taken into custody. Reed was transported to the Calloway County Detention Facility, where he faces several charges:
- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (2 or more grams of methamphetamine) – Firearm Enhanced, a Class B felony
- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense (4 or more grams of cocaine) – Firearm Enhanced, a Class B felony
- Trafficking in Marijuana, 8 ounces to 5 pounds, 1st Offense – Firearm Enhanced, a Class C felony
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
The investigation remains ongoing, according to authorities.
