Rose Marie Ramsay Otey, 86 of Melber, KY left this world as a gracious lady leaves a room on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Mercy Health Lourdes.
She was born on February 28, 1939 in Chicago, IL to Gordon Dale and Rose Black Ramsay.
Miss Rose was an active member of New Concord Baptist Church in Melber, KY where she served on various committees and also a member of the West Kentucky Model A Region Car Club. She was caretaker of the Allcock Cemetery and volunteered her time and efforts for the Melber Volunteer Fire Department Annual Ham Breakfast and Auction
Everyone who knew her said she was a sweet lady with just the right amount of spice. She was noted to be an avid gardener, a creative home decorator and loved to travel.
Survivors include one daughter Cynthia Cunningham and her husband Rodger of Hopkinsville, KY and one son Darren Gene Otey of Melber, KY; two grandchildren Clara Vadis Otey Hammerschmidt (Ryan) and Agnes AnnMarie Otey.
Preceding her in death was her husband of 53 years Milton Gene Otey and her parents.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home from 5:00pm until 8:00pm. Services will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Concord Baptist Church in Melber with Revs. Jeff Cruse and Rev. Gary Cruse officiating. Burial will follow at the Allcock Cemetery.
