(DRAFFENVILLE, Ky.)-A collaborative effort between the Preston Cope Foundation and the Bed Ministry resulted in the construction of nine beds for children in Eastern Kentucky on Tuesday.
The initiative brought together the Marshall County Marshals High School Baseball team, who volunteered their time to build the beds, ensuring that local children will have a place to sleep during the holiday season.
Brian, Teresa, and Maddox Cope, representing the Preston Cope Foundation, expressed their gratitude to all the volunteers who participated in the project. The group specifically acknowledged the contributions of the Marshall County Marshals baseball team and Jerry Newsome, who coordinates the Bed Ministry’s efforts along with his team of volunteers.
The project represents a community-wide effort to address children’s needs during the Christmas season, with organizers describing the collaboration as a meaningful way to serve others during the holidays.
