Lady Marshals Dominate, Marshals Roll in Fourth District Doubleheader

(MURRAY, Ky.) – The Marshall County basketball teams swept a Fourth District doubleheader Tuesday night at Rechelle Turner Court in Tiger Gym, with both squads posting decisive victories over Murray High.

In the girls’ matchup, the Lady Marshals overwhelmed the Lady Tigers 62-16 behind a balanced offensive attack. Kenzlee Terry led all scorers with 22 points, while six teammates contributed to the scoring column. Addi Wall and Rylan Darnall each added 7 points, and Charleigh Duncan, Rylee Teague, Jessica Reed, and Lauren Noles all chipped in 6 points apiece. Addley Poole rounded out the scoring with 2 points.

The nightcap saw the Marshall County boys pull away from Murray High for a 75-58 victory. Matthew Langhi dominated the contest with a game-high 35 points to pace the Marshals. Braxton Burnham provided secondary support with 11 points, while Neyland Jezik and Carson Lovett each contributed 8 points. Ryan Stokes and Maxson Mitchell added 4 points each, Kaden Mohler scored 3, and Maddox Konrad finished with 2 points.

The Lady Marshals (5-0) will travel to play the Mayfield Lady Cardinals (2-2) on Thursday night.  The Hendrickson Wealth and Retirement Pregame Show begins at 6:55 p.m. with a 7:30 p.m. tip-off from the Mayfield Sports Arena on WCBL Sports.
