A SEASON OF PEACE, PROTECTED BY SACRIFICE

A Christmas message from Sen. Danny Carroll

As the Christmas season arrives and the year draws to a close, I want to take a moment to extend my warmest wishes to you and your loved ones. This time of year gives us a special opportunity to slow down, reflect, and appreciate the people and values that matter most—faith, family, and community.

Over the past year, I have continued to be inspired by the strength and generosity of the people I serve. Whether it’s small acts of kindness, support for neighbors, or working together to overcome challenges, Kentuckians always find a way to lift one another up. That spirit of compassion and unity is what defines our communities and gives me hope for the future.

The holiday season also reminds us of the importance of gratitude. We are blessed to live in a country where peace and freedom allow us to gather, worship, and celebrate without fear. But those freedoms are not guaranteed—they are protected and preserved each day by the brave men and women of our U.S. Armed Forces and by our first responders here at home.

Finally, I ask that you join me in thinking about and praying for those who are standing watch while the rest of us gather around the kitchen table or the Christmas tree. As a former law enforcement officer, I understand the commitment it takes to serve during times when others are with their families. Many of these individuals will miss holiday moments so that we can enjoy ours in peace and safety. Their sacrifice—and the sacrifice of their families—is one we must never take for granted. Whether they are stationed overseas or working a shift in our hometowns, their service deserves our deepest thanks.

As we prepare to welcome a new year, I remain committed to working hard on your behalf in Frankfort. I am grateful for the trust you place in me, and I will continue doing all I can to strengthen our communities and move our commonwealth forward.

May this holiday season bring you warmth, joy, and meaningful time with those you hold dear. And in the new year, may God bring health, hope, and continued blessings for you and your family.
