(CALVERT CITY, Ky.) — A local pickleball organization made a generous contribution to youth programs during Tuesday evening’s ribbon cutting ceremony for new sports facilities in Marshall County.
Calvert City Pickleball donated $5,000 to the Kentucky Boys and Girls Sheriff’s Ranch during the dedication of the Parvin and Darlene Latta Pickleball courts. The donation was announced at the ceremony, which marked the official opening of the new recreational facility.
Marshall County Sheriff Kevin Hilbrecht publicly thanked the organization for its support, calling the donation “a blessing” for the ranch, which provides programs and services for youth in the community.
“Thank you for your generosity and commitment to our community,” Hilbrecht said in a statement following the event.
The Kentucky Boys and Girls Sheriff’s Ranch operates as a youth-focused organization supported by law enforcement agencies across the state. The donation will support the ranch’s ongoing programs and activities.
The newly dedicated pickleball courts are named in honor of Parvin and Darlene Latta.
