
(DRAFFENVILLE, Ky.) — The Marshall County High School cross country program dominated the Area One awards this season, with multiple athletes and their coach earning top recognition across classifications.
Senior Kobey Yates led the Marshals’ impressive showing, capturing four major honors including Overall Runner of the Year and Class AAA Runner of the Year. Yates also earned spots on both the Overall All Area First Team and the All Area Class AAA Team.
On the girls’ side, Lauren Noles matched Yates’ success by earning Overall All Area First Team recognition along with Class AAA All Area Team selection. Noles was also named Class AAA Runner of the Year for the Lady Marshals.
Daniel Walker added to Marshall County’s hardware with an Overall All Area Second Team selection, while Eden Sandlin rounded out the honored athletes with her placement on the All Area Class AAA Team.
Head Coach Cory Westerfield capped off the successful season by being named Class AAA Boys Coach of the Year, recognition that reflects his program’s sustained excellence throughout the campaign.
