Marshall County’s Annual Hoopfest Continues This Weekend

(DRAFFENVILLE, Ky.) — Reed Conder Gymnasium at Marshall County High School will transform into a national basketball hub this weekend as the school hosts its annual Hoopfest from December 4-6, 2025.

The three-day event will bring together teams from across multiple states, including Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Louisiana, Missouri, Virginia, and California, showcasing both boys’ and girls’ high school basketball talent.

Diverse Field Competing

Friday’s schedule includes eight games featuring matchups between teams from across the region. Notable games include Warren Central versus Germantown (Mississippi) at 4:00 p.m., Link Academy (Missouri) and McEachern (Georgia) will tangle at 4:30 p.m. and a 7:00 p.m. showdown between Marshall County and Sterlington (LA).

The evening session concludes  followed by Woodward Academy (Georgia) versus Grayson County at 8:30 p.m.

Saturday’s action continues the competitive atmosphere with seven games scheduled throughout the day, culminating in an 8:00 p.m. matchup between Oak Hill (Virginia) and Veritas (California).

The tournament is being organized in partnership with the Kentucky Lake Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Murray Convention and Visitors Bureau, highlighting the regional cooperation bringing high-level basketball competition to western Kentucky.

Marshals Basketball will be on the air with the Hendrickson Wealth and Retirement Pregame Show tonight at 6:25 with a 7 p.m. tip-off on WCBL Sports.
