
(DRAFFENVILLE, Ky.) — Reed Conder Gymnasium at Marshall County High School will transform into a national basketball hub this weekend as the school hosts its annual Hoopfest from December 4-6, 2025.
The three-day event will bring together teams from across multiple states, including Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Louisiana, Missouri, Virginia, and California, showcasing both boys’ and girls’ high school basketball talent.
Kicks Off Thursday
The action begins Thursday evening with four matchups, highlighted by the host Marshall County Lady Marshals facing Crittenden County. The girls’ contest tips off at 6:00 p.m.
Thursday’s slate also features New Covenant vs. Crittenden County (boys) at 4:30. McEachern (Georgia) takes on Graves County at 7:30 p.m., with Sterlington (Louisiana) and Lyon County closing out the night at 9:00 p.m.
Diverse Field Competing
Friday’s schedule includes eight games featuring matchups between teams from across the region. Notable games include Warren Central versus Germantown (Mississippi) at 4:00 p.m., and a 7:00 p.m. showdown between Link Academy (Missouri) and McEachern (Georgia).
The evening session concludes with Utah Prep facing Oak Hill (Virginia) at 8:30 p.m., followed by Woodward Academy (Georgia) versus Grayson County at 10:00 p.m.
Saturday’s action continues the competitive atmosphere with seven games scheduled throughout the day, culminating in an 8:00 p.m. matchup between Oak Hill (Virginia) and Veritas (California).
The tournament is being organized in partnership with the Kentucky Lake Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Murray Convention and Visitors Bureau, highlighting the regional cooperation bringing high-level basketball competition to western Kentucky.
Lady Marshals Basketball will be on the air with the Hendrickson Wealth and Retirement Pregame Show tonight at 5:25 with a 6pm tip-off on WCBL Sports.
Lyon County will also be in action tonight as the Lady Lyons (1-0) host the Graves County Lady Eagles in Eddyville at 6:00 p.m., while the Lyons (1-0) battle the Sterlington (LA) Panthers (4-1) in Hoopfest at 9:00 p.m. The Akridge Farm Supply/ACE Hardware Pregame Show will begin at 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on 95.7 FM, WCCK Sports.
