Kentucky Lake Chamber Celebrates Community Growth and Holiday Season

(MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky.) — The Kentucky Lake Chamber of Commerce is wrapping up a successful year of community engagement and business development while ushering in the holiday season with several festive events designed to bring the Marshall County region together.

The chamber recently welcomed several new members to its growing roster of local businesses, including Morgan’s Coffee & Cookies, Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership, Calvert City Kiwanis, and Lake Dream RV Park & Campground. The additions reflect the continued economic vitality of the Kentucky Lake region and the chamber’s commitment to supporting businesses of all sizes.

Celebrating Excellence

Throughout the year, the chamber has recognized outstanding achievements within the business community through various awards ceremonies. Local leaders and business owners gathered to celebrate entrepreneurs, community contributors, and organizations that have made significant impacts on the region’s economic and social fabric.

Light Up Calvert City – December 6

The 66th annual Calvert City Lions Club Christmas Parade, Kentucky’s longest-running Christmas parade, takes place Friday, December 6 at 6 p.m. on 5th Avenue in downtown Calvert City. The beloved community tradition brings together floats from local businesses and organizations in a festive celebration that has been a cornerstone of the region’s holiday season for more than six decades.

After the parade, families are invited to the Calvert City Civic Center for photos with Santa, along with complimentary hot dogs and drinks provided by the Calvert City Lions Club.

A Benton Christmas – December 13

Benton’s Court Square will host holiday festivities on Saturday, December 13, featuring a live Nativity scene, hot chocolate, cookies, ornament decorating, and other family-friendly activities. The event showcases the chamber’s commitment to supporting celebrations throughout Marshall County.

Also on December 13, the Kentucky Opry at 88 Chilton Lane in Benton will present “A Down Home Country Christmas” by Minihan Productions at 2 p.m., featuring the Minihan band performing favorite Christmas classics and hilarious holiday skits.

Christmas in the Park at Mike Miller Park

Mike Miller Park in Benton will host its annual Christmas in the Park Light Show beginning November 26, running nightly through December starting at dusk. The beloved holiday tradition draws thousands of visitors each season to experience the elaborate drive-through light display featuring over a million lights.

Visitors can participate in “Spot the Grinch” by posting photos to social media using #thegrinchatmikemiller to be entered to win weekly prizes. The event is free to attend, though cash or canned good donations are encouraged to support local nonprofit organizations throughout Marshall County.

Stuff the Stocking Donations

The chamber is promoting “Stuff the Stocking Donations” through Casa by the Lakes, encouraging residents to support families in need during the holidays. This initiative reflects the chamber’s commitment to not only business development but also community welfare and supporting vulnerable populations throughout Marshall County.
