(FRANKFORT, Ky.) — State Senator Danny Carroll is calling on Kentuckians to embrace the spirit of gratitude and community as Thanksgiving approaches, while also encouraging residents to check on neighbors who may be struggling during the holiday season.

In a message released this week, Carroll highlighted the contributions of everyday Kentuckians who strengthen their communities through service and dedication.

“What truly makes Kentucky special is its people,” Carroll said. “Every day, Kentuckians step up to serve their neighbors and strengthen their communities.”

The senator specifically recognized teachers, law enforcement officers, health care workers, and farmers for their daily contributions to the commonwealth, noting that their work often begins before sunrise and continues long into the evening.

Carroll also acknowledged that the holidays can be challenging for some residents, particularly those who are grieving or separated from family. He encouraged Kentuckians to reach out to those who may be alone this season.

“If you know someone who may be feeling alone this season, take time to check in or invite them to share a meal,” Carroll said. “A simple act of kindness can make all the difference.”

The senator paid special tribute to military families whose loved ones may be deployed or stationed away from home during the holidays, expressing gratitude for their service and sacrifice.

With increased travel expected during the Thanksgiving period, Carroll urged residents to exercise caution on the roads and be mindful of others.

Looking ahead to 2026, Carroll noted that the Kentucky General Assembly is scheduled to convene on January 6. He said his priorities include strengthening families, growing the economy, and protecting Kentucky values.

Constituents wishing to contact Senator Carroll can reach his Frankfort office at 502-564-8100 or via email at Danny.Carroll@kylegislature.gov.
