(BENTON, Ky.) — FNB Bank has donated $1,500 to Marshall County Schools as part of its third-quarter Spirit Debit Card Program, the bank announced Thursday.

The initiative allows FNB Bank customers to support local schools through everyday purchases. Each time cardholders use their Spirit Debit Card for a signature-based transaction, FNB Bank contributes 10 cents to the corresponding school system.

“Our customers have pride in knowing that they are making a difference in the lives of our youth by simply swiping their Spirit Debit Cards at the checkout,” said Brooke Wiles, FNB Bank’s marketing director. “The donated funds allow the school systems the opportunity to do more for their students and staff, which is an invaluable asset to our community.”

The program currently supports four school districts: Mayfield, Graves County, Trigg County, and Marshall County. FNB Bank handles all tracking and issues quarterly checks to participating schools, which can use the funds at their discretion.

Last year, the Spirit Debit Card Program generated more than $85,000 for participating schools across the region.

Founded in 1875, FNB Bank is one of Kentucky’s oldest financial institutions, with assets exceeding $700 million. The bank operates 10 locations across Graves, McCracken, Calloway, Trigg, and Marshall counties.
