(MURRAY, Ky.) – Murray State University is reporting positive enrollment trends as students register for the spring 2026 semester and the upcoming winter term, with preliminary data showing spring enrollment running ahead of last year’s figures.
University officials are encouraging students to meet with their academic advisors as registration remains open for both terms through the myGate portal.
The early registration numbers mark an encouraging sign for the university, with current data indicating spring 2026 enrollment is outpacing the previous spring semester at this point in the registration cycle.
Students looking to accelerate their degree progress have the option of enrolling in winter term courses, which run from Dec. 15 through Jan. 7. The condensed term allows students to complete coursework from home during the holiday break, with multiple online course options available.
“Winter term courses offer both convenience and flexibility for students,” university officials noted, emphasizing that the abbreviated session enables students to stay on track with degree requirements while away from campus.
The spring 2026 semester is scheduled to begin Jan. 12.
Students seeking more information about course offerings or needing assistance with registration are advised to contact their academic advisor.
