
(MURRAY, Ky.) — Marshall County High School claimed top honors at the 55th Annual Murray State Chemistry Scholarship Tournament on Thursday, with senior Blake Harper and juniors Scarlett Gardner, Ayen Arceo, and Lilli Perry competing in the Upper Division.
The Marshals’ dominance was led by Gardner, who scored first place among all tournament participants. Her performance earned her $200 in cash and an $800 Murray State University scholarship.
Harper also placed on the podium, finishing third overall and taking home $100 cash along with a $400 MSU scholarship.
The team’s first-place finish secured an additional $200 for Marshall County’s chemistry department.
The championship squad is coached by Shelley McGregor.
