Sheriff’s Office Seeks Public Help After Charity Donation Jar Stolen from Lone Oak Store

(LONE OAK, Ky.) — The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a man accused of stealing a charity donation jar from a local convenience store.

In the early morning hours of November 5, surveillance cameras captured an unidentified white male entering the Hucks store on Lone Oak Road and taking a Karing for Kids donation box from the front counter. The box contained an undisclosed amount of money.

Karing for Kids is a charitable organization, and the stolen donations were intended to support its mission.

Sheriff’s officials are urging anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about the theft to contact the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office at 270-444-4719 or send a message through the department’s Facebook page.

The investigation remains ongoing.
