(BENTON, Ky.)-Marshall County Sheriff Matt Hilbrecht announced his candidacy for re-election today, seeking another term leading the county’s law enforcement agency.
In a statement, the sheriff reflected on his first term, which began more than three years ago. He highlighted efforts to enhance public safety, forge community partnerships, and modernize departmental operations.
“It has truly been an honor,” Hilbrecht said of his time in office. “We’ve worked hard to strengthen public safety, build partnerships, and modernize our Department to better serve every citizen of Marshall County.”
The incumbent emphasized his commitment to the department’s workforce and outlined priorities for a potential second term, including continued service improvements, enhanced public safety measures, and increased protection for schools, neighborhoods, and families.
“I believe in this community, and hard working men and women that I serve along side each day,” the sheriff stated. “I believe in the work we are doing, and with your support we will keep moving forward.”
Hilbrecht concluded his announcement by thanking constituents for the opportunity to serve and requesting their continued support in the upcoming election.
