
(KIRKSEY, Ky.) (November 5, 2025) – Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 1 troopers have arrested a Calloway County man following a vehicle collision in the Kirksey area of Calloway County.
Shortly after 4:00pm CT on Tuesday, November 4th, troopers were called to Backusburg Road and Marigold Drive in Kirksey for the report of a two-vehicle non-injury collision. Trooper Underhill responded to investigate the collision. Through the course of the investigation, Trooper Underhill determined that the operator of one of the involved vehicles was under the influence of intoxicating substances. That operator was identified as Justun Wallmann, 48 years old of Kirksey, Ky.
Upon being informed that he was being placed under arrest, Wallmann resisted and began to flee on foot. Trooper Underhill utilized her Taser and was able to regain control of Wallmann who was taken into custody.
During a search of Wallmann’s vehicle, troopers located a handgun, approximately 70 grams of methamphetamine, and 25 pills that are awaiting laboratory identification.
Justun Wallmann was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance (1st Degree), Possession of a Handgun by Convicted Felon, Possession of Controlled Substance (3rd Degree), Illegal Possession of Legend Drug, Prescription Controlled Substance Not in Proper Container, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Substances, Resisting Arrest, Fleeing or Evading Police (2nd Degree on Foot), and Reckless Driving. After being medically cleared, Wallmann was lodged at the Calloway County Jail.
