Marshall County Food Drive Seeks Donations to Help Local Families This Thanksgiving

admin-ajax-2

(BENTON, Ky.) – The Marshall County Exceptional Center and the City of Benton are having a community-wide Thanksgiving food drive to assist families in need throughout Marshall County.

The drive, running from November 3-21, aims to collect non-perishable food items to support local blessing boxes and those facing food insecurity during the holiday season.

“Join us in helping Marshall County Needline & local blessing boxes,” MCEC Director Lindsay Walker stated.

Donations of specific items are being requested, including non-perishable food items, canned goods, complete meals, canned pastas, protein and granola bars, ramen noodles, and macaroni and cheese.

Community members can drop off their contributions at two convenient locations: the Marshall County Exceptional Center and Benton City Hall. Both sites will accept donations throughout the three-week collection period.

The initiative comes as many families prepare for the Thanksgiving holiday, with organizers hoping to ensure that all residents have access to nutritious meals during this time of year.

For more information about the food drive or to arrange larger donations, residents are encouraged to contact the MCEC or Benton City Hall.
