(BENTON, Ky.) – Marshall County Caring Needline, a vital community food assistance organization, is issuing an urgent call for donations as its pantry shelves reach critically low levels amid a sudden surge in demand.
The organization, which serves more than 400 Marshall County families each month, has experienced a sharp increase in new clients seeking assistance within the past 24 hours, officials said. The timing has compounded the crisis, as current food supplies have dwindled to near-empty levels.
“We are in desperate need of non-perishable food items,” Needline’s Hollie Darnall said. “Our pantry is almost empty.”
The organization emphasized that all donations made to Needline remain in the local community to assist Marshall County residents in need.
Community members wishing to help can drop off non-perishable food donations at Needline’s location between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Those interested in donating or seeking more information about Needline’s services can visit during the designated drop-off hours.
