
(PADUCAH, Ky.) — A fugitive wanted on multiple warrants was apprehended following a traffic stop and brief foot pursuit in Paducah on Wednesday afternoon, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.
Justin Metcalf, 41, of Smithland, was arrested around 1:46 p.m. on October 30 after detectives spotted him entering Kentucky from Illinois on North 8th Street. Metcalf was wanted on outstanding Livingston County warrants related to charges of attempting to induce a minor to engage in sexual activity and failure to appear in court for an assault case.
Drug detectives had received a tip earlier that day that Metcalf would be traveling from Brookport, Illinois, to Paducah. When detectives attempted a traffic stop in the 1200 block of North 8th Street, Metcalf exited the vehicle and ran. He was quickly apprehended after a short chase.
A passenger in the vehicle, Jamie Metcalf, 37, also of Smithland, was taken into custody on an outstanding Livingston County warrant for failure to appear in court.
During a search of the vehicle, detectives discovered methamphetamine.
Both suspects were transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

The Paducah Police Department assisted the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office with the arrest.
