(PADUCAH, Ky.)  — Two convicted felons are facing multiple drug-related charges following a Tuesday afternoon raid at a Paducah residence, authorities announced.

McCracken County Sheriff’s Office detectives executed a search warrant at 3235 Alabama Street on October 28, 2025, after receiving numerous complaints about suspected illegal drug activity at the location.

The search yielded approximately 81 grams of crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, synthetic marijuana, various pills, drug paraphernalia, and U.S. currency suspected to be drug proceeds, according to investigators. Authorities said most of the narcotics were found near a firearm.

Kevin Garnett, 51, and Demarco Halliburton, 47, both residents of the Alabama Street address, were taken into custody in connection with the seized drugs and weapon.

Halliburton was found inside the residence during the search, while Garnett was apprehended at a nearby gas station, detectives said.

Both men have extensive criminal histories and prior felony convictions, according to the sheriff’s office.

Garnett faces the more serious charges, including firearm-enhanced trafficking in methamphetamine, second-offense trafficking in marijuana, possession of a synthetic drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Halliburton was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The investigation was launched based on community complaints about suspected drug activity at the residence.
