(FRANKFORT, Ky.) — Kentucky Auditor of Public Accounts Allison Ball announced Monday the release of 2023 tax settlement audit reports for sheriffs in 10 counties across the state.
The audits cover sheriff’s offices in Christian, Fayette, Garrard, Livingston, Marshall, Ohio, Oldham, Perry, Taylor and Wolfe counties, according to a statement from Ball’s office.
Sheriff tax settlement audits are routine reviews conducted by the Auditor of Public Accounts to ensure proper collection and distribution of property taxes and other revenues handled by county sheriffs in their role as tax collectors.
