(MURRAY, Ky.)-Murray State University journalism professor Leigh Wright has been honored with the 2025 Emerging Adviser Award for her work with student journalists.
Wright, a 1993 Murray State graduate, serves as a professor in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications and faculty advisor for The Murray State News, the university’s student newspaper.
The award recognizes Wright’s dedication to mentoring and supporting student journalists at Murray State. Under her guidance, students have developed their skills and pursued excellence in collegiate journalism.
Wright’s commitment to journalism education continues a long tradition of excellence in Murray State’s journalism program, where she once studied as an undergraduate before returning to shape the next generation of media professionals.
