(CALVERT CITY, Ky.) – Major League Fishing’s Bass Pro Tour will bring world-class competitive fishing to television screens nationwide this weekend when the Knockout Round of the Lowrance Stage 5 at Kentucky Lake Presented by Mercury premieres on Discovery Channel.
The highly anticipated broadcast is scheduled to air Saturday, October 25, from 6-8 a.m. CT, with the Championship Round following one week later on November 1.
The four-day tournament, filmed earlier this year in Calvert City, Kentucky, brought together 66 of the world’s elite professional anglers competing for a total purse of $650,000. The winner will take home a top prize of $150,000, along with crucial Angler of the Year (AOY) points.
Those AOY points carry significant weight, as they determine qualification for two of bass fishing’s most prestigious events: the General Tire Heavy Hitters all-star competition and REDCREST 2026, the Bass Pro Tour’s championship event.
The event was hosted by the Kentucky Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau, which welcomed the premier fishing competition to the region’s renowned waters.
Both episodes will air on Discovery Channel during their Saturday morning time slots, with additional re-airings scheduled on the Outdoor Channel. Major League Fishing continues its tradition of premiering new episodes each Saturday morning on Discovery.
The two-hour broadcasts will give viewers an inside look at the strategies, techniques, and drama that unfold when the sport’s best anglers battle for bass fishing supremacy on one of the country’s most celebrated fishing destinations.
