(BENTON, Ky.) — The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office announced the return of a familiar face this week, welcoming back Tim Reynolds in a new capacity.

Reynolds, who retired from his position as Chief Deputy in July, has accepted a dual role as Court Security Captain and Evidence Technician with the agency.

“Tim brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the agency and will continue to be a valuable asset to our organization,” Sheriff Matt Hilbrecht  stated in announcing Reynolds’ return.

The veteran law enforcement officer’s new position will focus on overseeing court security operations and managing evidence handling procedures for the department.

Reynolds’ return comes just months after his retirement, bringing his extensive experience back to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office in a specialized capacity that will benefit both the courts and investigative operations.

The Sheriff’s Office expressed enthusiasm about Reynolds rejoining the team, emphasizing the value his expertise will bring to the organization in his new role as Captain.
