(MURRAY, Ky.) — A Murray man is facing serious criminal charges following a sexual assault investigation by the Murray Police Department.
Dustin Owen, 39, of Murray, was arrested and charged with one count of third-degree rape and one count of custodial interference, according to police officials.
The investigation was launched recently after reports of a sexual assault. Authorities worked collaboratively to build the case, with the Murray Police Department receiving assistance from both the Kentucky State Police and Murray State University Police Department.
Murray Police expressed gratitude to the partnering agencies for their support during the investigation.
Officials emphasized that Owen is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, as is the case with any individual charged with a criminal offense.
