(MURRAY, Ky.) — The Marshall County Lady Marshals captured the 4th District Championship Tuesday night with a dominant three-set sweep of Calloway County at Tiger Gym.
Marshall County controlled the match from start to finish, defeating the Lady Lakers 25-19, 25-16, 25-13 to claim the district crown.
The Lady Marshals built momentum throughout the contest, winning each set by an increasingly wider margin. After taking the opening set by six points, Marshall County expanded its advantage to nine points in the second set before closing out the championship with a 12-point victory in the third.
Both teams will advance to the regional tournament, Marshall County at 19-5 and Calloway County at 17-15.
