
(MURRAY, Ky.)- Marshall County Special Olympics recently recognized a longtime community partner for their unwavering commitment to local athletes.
Rocky White, General Manager of Zaxby’s in Murray, Kentucky, was presented with a Marshall County Special Olympics uniform and medal shadow box in appreciation of the restaurant’s continued support of the organization.
For the past seven years, Zaxby’s has sponsored meals for the Marshall County Special Olympics annual golf scramble, a key fundraising event that helps support athletes competing in various sports throughout the year.
“Zaxby’s contributions have helped so much,”Jonny Byrd, Special Olympics Head Coach said, noting that proceeds from the scramble directly benefit athletes across multiple sporting disciplines.
The commemorative shadow box is now on display at the Murray Zaxby’s location, where community members are encouraged to stop by and view the tribute.
Present for the recognition were Harli Hanisch, John Newport, Jackie Newport, Rocky White, Devin Sizemore, and Mikey Sizemore.
