(CORK CITY, Ireland) – The Trinity Meteors extended their winning ways on Saturday evening, defeating Catalyst Fr. Mathews 75-57 at Fr. Mathews Arena in a dominant display of basketball.
Former Murray State Racer Ava Learn continued to make her mark in Irish basketball, contributing 12 points, 5 rebounds, and 1 assist in the victory. The American import has been a key addition to the Meteors’ roster and showed once again why she’s becoming a fan favorite in her debut season with the Dublin-based club.
The Meteors controlled the game from start to finish, building an 18-point cushion by the final buzzer. The victory keeps Trinity firmly in contention as they continue their campaign in Irish women’s basketball.
Learn, who suited up for the Racers during her collegiate career at Murray State University, has seamlessly transitioned to the professional game in Ireland. Her versatility and scoring ability have provided the Meteors with a reliable offensive option while also contributing on the boards.
