
(PADUCAH, Ky.) — The West Kentucky Community and Technical College Board of Directors will gather for its regular quarterly meeting Tuesday, Oct. 14, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Anderson Technical Building conference room.
Board Chair Jay Simmons will call the meeting to order, with directors expected to approve minutes from their May 13 meeting and elect officers for the coming year, including positions for chair, vice chair and secretary.
College President Dr. Anton Reece is scheduled to deliver updates on several key initiatives, including a report from the Board of Regents and recent developments related to House Bill 4. Chase Durrance will provide additional details on the HB4 implementation.
Reece will also brief the board on the college’s recent luncheon with Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture Dr. Ryan Quarles, held as part of the KCTCS for KY initiative, and share news about an upcoming SACSCOC PEP visit related to academic affairs.
The agenda includes programmatic and operational reports from department heads across campus. Dr. Kate Senn will present on the aviation program, while Tammy Maines discusses enrollment management efforts. Financial officer Jennifer Tubbs will deliver the budget report, and Shay Nolan will update the board on campus safety and operations.
Andy Wilson is set to report on advancement and fundraising activities, and Student Government Association representative Taliyah Hamilton will share updates from the student body. Mary Beth Head will provide information on upcoming graduation ceremonies.
The meeting is open to the public.
Looking ahead, the WKCTC Board of Directors and the Paducah Junior College Board of Trustees will hold a joint meeting at noon Wednesday, Nov. 20, in the Bistro at the Anderson Technical Building.
