(WEST PADUCAH, Ky.) — The Marshall County Lady Marshals made history Thursday night, capturing their first District 1 Championship with a 1-0 victory over McCracken County at West Paducah.
The win marks a significant milestone for the Lady Marshals in their inaugural season competing in District 1 after years of competing in District 2.
Rylee Teague scored the game’s only goal, while goalkeeper Savannah Dodd recorded another shutout to preserve the championship victory for Marshall County.
Five Marshall County players earned All-District honors for their outstanding performances this season: Savannah Dodd, Lily Hays, Lauren Noles, Rylee Teague, and Addi Wall.
The Lady Marshals will now advance to the Region 1 Tournament, where they are scheduled to face Murray High next week at McCracken County High School. The exact game time has not yet been announced.
