Two-Time State Champ Trinity Beth Finishes Career at Marshall County as 2025 Runner-Up as Madison Central Wins Team Championship at KHSAA State Golf Tournament

(BOWLING GREEN, Ky.) — Sacred Heart Junior Keira Yun fired a tournament-best 6-under-par 138 to capture medalist honors, while Madison Central claimed the team championship at the KHSAA Leachman Buick-GMC-Cadillac Girls State Golf Tournament at Bowling Green Country Club.

Yun’s stellar performance included rounds of 71-67 to finish four strokes ahead of runner-up Trinity Beth of Marshall County, who posted a 2-under 142 (70-72).  The Lady Marshals Senior finishes off a stellar career in Orange winning two individual State Championships back to back (2022, 2023).  Beth will continue her career collegiately at the University of Georgia.

Team Competition

Madison Central secured the state title with a two-day total of 604 (+28), shooting 300 in the opening round and 304 in the final round. The Indians held off Lexington Christian, which finished second at 616 (+40) after rounds of 305 and 311.

Sacred Heart placed third with a 621 (+45), while Daviess County (655, +79) and Marshall County (657, +81) rounded out the top five.

Bowling Green finished sixth at 678 (+102), followed by Owen County at 679 (+103). Mercy Academy placed eighth with a 709 (+133), and Montgomery County finished ninth at 719 (+143).

Individual Standouts

Ballard Memorial’s Madison Glisson claimed third place at even-par 144 (71-73), while Rowan County’s Athena Singh finished fourth at 1-over 145 (72-73). Cumberland County sophomore Kenzie Willen took fifth at 2-over 146 (71-75).

Three players tied for sixth at 6-over 150: Lexington Catholic eighth-grader Parker Haddix (74-76), Madison Central’s Mollie Neeley (72-78), and Lexington Christian’s Carter Lankford (74-76).

Madison Central placed four golfers in the top 17, with Neeley joined by Aubrey Barrow (T9, +7), Mackenzie Federspiel (T11, +8), and Haley Federspiel (T16, +11).

Two players withdrew from the tournament: Dixie Heights’ Tatjana Andracenko after the first round and North Oldham’s Ella Trent before competition began.

Marshall County Results

CeCelia Ray, a 2027 prospect, finished tied for 48th at 25-over 169 (82-87). Kelli Roberts, class of 2028, placed tied for 63rd at 30-over 174 (86-88). Charlee Murphy, a 2029 player, tied for 69th with a 32-over 176 (89-87), while Brooklyn Cunningham rounded out the Marshall County scoring in 75th place at 35-over 179 (85-94).
