(BENTON, Ky.)-That’s right—the legendary truck parkin’, Copenhagen slingin’, Bocephus listenin’, Bobbie Brooks droppin’ juke joint of the ’80s is making a comeback!
According to a recent Facebook post from a Benton-based Anit-Social Media organization (the irony is being laid on thick here) known as “Get Off Now And Do Something!” or (GONADS!), the group plans to petition the City to revive the former hangout as Benton’s premier gathering spot for today’s teens.
Their mission? Simple. They want young people to connect face-to-face instead of staring at screens. It’s about bringing back real conversation, real community, and the kind of memories that can’t be captured in a social media post.
The Hole may have been dormant for decades, but if the GONADS! have their way, a new generation is about to discover what made it so special.
